What is an affiliate program?
An affiliate program is a marketing program whereby people can earn a percentage of a company’s sales (commissions) by placing advertisements for the company on their website, in e-mails, or by running a pay-per-click (PPC) campaign. As an affiliate, you essentially become a salesperson for a company, and earn a commission on the value of whatever you successfully sell, just as you would in a sales job for a brick-and-mortar store.
What is a drop shipper?
A Drop Shipper is someone who sells the Castle Baths® products without the investment of product inventory. In simple terms, the drop shipper will use the Castlebaths images, create their own unique- but approved- content and place this on their site as if they are the actual seller of the product.
With every order, the seller (drop shipper) purchases from Castle Baths® retail site and uses a special coded coupon. In turn, the product is then shipped to the buyer (seller’s customer) as if it was sold from that seller (thus drop-shipped). Every product is reduced by 25% or more. The commission is tiered as per the sales- the more sold, the higher the commission. What is the difference between an affiliate and a drop shipper? Wholesaler?
An affiliate, adds text links or banners to their content and it, in turn, links the visitor to Castle Baths® where Castle Baths® completes the sale and takes care of the customer service. No inventory or customer service is required.
A drop shipper acts as the seller of the product and generally receives a higher payout commission – no inventory is required.
A wholesaler is a bit different in they will actually purchase inventory and have it on hand for their customers. Wholesale purchases in batch quality of 32 oz sizes dived by package and then receive a 5o% discount from us. For example, you purchase 5 bottles of 6 oz lotions or 2- 16 oz salts. Inventory and customer service are required. You as the wholesaler, then set up your terms and your prices for resell to earn a minimum of 50% profit on reselling. How do affiliate programs work? Dropshipping Programs?
Affiliate programs are operated through affiliate hosting sites such as ShareASale.com. Once you create an affiliate account with ShareASale, you will be able to choose from a selection of banner advertisements or text-based advertisement links to place on your website.
For drop shipping programs- No special platform is needed to dropship- just request a code and we’ll help you get set up.
Can I control where ads for an affiliate that I select show up on my site?
Yes. When you become an affiliate, you are set up with the ShareASale platform. They will provide you with lines of HTML code that you can insert into your website or blog wherever you wish.
I don’t want to see any banner advertisements on my site. Can I still be an affiliate for Castle Baths®?
Yes. If you would prefer to use text-based links instead of banner graphics to advertise products, you can. ShareASale provides you with the necessary HTML code to insert such links into your website or blog. You can also run e-mail campaigns or PPC campaigns if you would prefer not to advertise on your website. Castle Baths® is available to help you make this a positive and profitable adventure.
Do I need any special qualifications to become a Castle Baths affiliate?
No. Our current affiliates consist primarily of health, wellness, fitness, beauty, and skincare professionals, bloggers, influencers, animal care professionals, and event planning professionals. If your website or business does not fall into one of these categories but you still feel you can successfully sell our products, please contact us and we will consider your ideas.
Do I need a website to be an affiliate?
Yes. You need to input a valid URL that you own in order to sign up, even if you intend to launch e-mail or PPC campaigns instead of hosting ads on your website.
How much does Castle Baths® pay in commissions and when will I be paid?
Castle Baths® offers a base 8-20% commission for standard affiliates and tier commissions for super-performing affiliates Affiliates are paid through ShareASale every month. You must accumulate $50 worth of commissions before your first check will arrive.
Castle Baths® pays a base of 25-35% drop ship and 50% for wholesalers. you receive your payment in full on these 2 programs at the time of the sale.
What are cookies?
Cookies are how affiliate hosting sites keep track of who is to be paid for which purchases. They are small programs that get placed onto the computers of anyone who clicks on a banner or text ad that tracks what (if anything) that person purchases from the advertised company’s website after clicking on the ad. Castle Baths affiliate program gives you 90-day cookies, which means if a person clicks on one of our ads on your site, and purchases anything from us (even if it’s a different product than what you had advertised) within 90 days after clicking the ad, you will receive a commission on his or her purchase.
How technically savvy do I need to be to become an affiliate or drop-shipper?
You should have a basic knowledge of HTML code so you can copy and paste code from ShareASale into your website, blog, e-mail, or PPC advertising. For drop shipping, you’ll need to be able to add images and content. You may need to hire a web person to help you.
Do I have to live in the United States to be a Castle Baths® Affiliate, Drop-shipper, or Wholesaler?
No. You can reside anywhere in the world and be a Castle Baths® affiliate and or drop shipper so long as you have Internet access.
As for distribution or a wholesaler- each country is unique and has global laws per your unique country. We are very experienced in shipping globally and have multiple countries carrying our products. As a distributor- you can have the rights for any region approved.
