The Sassy Carmen Foundation™, a nonprofit seeking to help children with cancer and their families
This project is very dear to Lauras’ (owner founder of Castle Baths®) Heart– so dear that Castle Baths® exists today with standards against cancer-causing ingredients. Her mother (Sonya, aka Sassy) passed away at the early age of 55 from a rare Cancer, that Laura believes was caused by ingredients found in most personal care products!
Sassy Carmen is a newly formed nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children with cancer and their families. All proceeds donated by Sassy Carmen currently go towards helping better the lives of the children, and offering some pampering distractions for the family as a whole. We donate to the children themselves and their families.
In honor of all children faced with Cancer, we are seeking donations in order to provide support and assistance to these families. It’s one thing to face cancer yourself, it’s another to face it with a loved one… But it’s an OMG when it’s your child facing cancer!
A note from Laura: “I praise the Lord none of my children or grandchildren have or have had cancer! Yet, I have faced medical issues with my children that was severely emotional. My faith allowed me to know my child would live and see adulthood.
With the pain as a young mother watching my 6 month old baby suffer for multiple years… and what I felt, I can’t even begin to imagine a mother losing their baby to cancer…so with this- I ask, please help our mission, spread the world and help raise awareness with us!
May 2022- an update from Laura: I honestly never thought this day would arrive. The baby I mentioned eariler I had that was so ill and helped me build my faith… Her one and only son at 10 months showed signs of something was wrong. His name is Benjamin, aka Ben. Ben has been diagnosed with Cancer. The Lord has shared with me, he will not lose his childood or toddler years from this cancer. I trust the Lord. Below is more about Ben, my eighth grandchld.
With each of Sassy Carmen’s Directors having personal experience regarding the nature of how cancer impacts families and all of us having children – we wanted to do something to help offer hope with love, joy, and even a little distraction from the day-to-day emotional pains of having a child with cancer.

Your donation will help to get toys to the children who are currently sitting in hospitals with limited contact, pay for the bills of those impacted by cancer, and add a little hope and joy to the families facing these horrible times.
When you donate today, you can help ensure a child is able to gain the comfort they need from the warm hug of a teddy bear, and that they are able to explore the world, and even escape from it through a video gaming system. Children whose daily lives are spent being poked and prodded with needles and spoken to through masks and gloves. You can make a difference for not just the children, but also their families.
Many families are finding themselves unemployed and without insurance. With St. Jude, the families of those battling cancer do not have to choose between treatments for their family members and having enough food to eat, or keeping a roof over their head. But not every cancer child gets to St Jude. Some parents also must work and leave their children alone in the hospitable, talking about breaking hearts! Child care is also a huge concern since germs are deadly to these children. We at Sassy Carmen want to help!!
It is because of donations from people like you that a child with cancer can go to sleep with their favorite action figure lying beside them, or that a family is able to seek treatment for their loved ones.

We believe in rewarding and appreciating the caregivers of the world’s cancer patients and are currently in the process of designing a nonprofit line of skincare products for caregivers and patients of cancer alike. Hello everyone.
I would like to start off by saying this is about a sweet little boy named Ben.
He is getting ready to begin a journey that no parent ever wants their child or anyone else’s to go through. Ben had some swelling around his eye, so his momma, being the amazing momma she is – took him to the doctor. The appointment only lasted 5 minutes before they were sent to CHKD for more testing. They were admitted after some testing when it was determined he had fractures and a mass around his eye. The following day, they found another area of tumor that reach down through his abdomen and into his kidney. He was just 11 months old!
He had 2 biopsies and surgery to insert a port. It was determined that Ben has Neuroblastoma Cancer stage 4.
Neuroblastoma is a form of cancer. A Cancer of the nervous system is created from an immature cell that never developed.
